Please plan to join us for the 9th Annual Ecuadorian Soup Supper on Sunday, November 13, in Howley Hall following the 5:00 pm Mass. Come stand in solidarity with the Working Boys’ Center/Center for Working Families (C4WF) and Damien House (Hansen Disease). Enjoy our parish community, wonderful homemade soup (made by Phil Micciche), and live regional music. Shop for a wide variety of Ecuadorian crafts at the supper or in the vestibule after all weekend masses. Each year, this has been a very popular evening event for school families, a number of whom have traveled to the Working Boys Center and Damien House. Students in 5th-8th grades are also pen pals for the children. Check out the website at http://www.c4wf.org/.
Students in 5th - 8th grades who attend the event will earn 2 hours of Service Block credit, and parents who join them will earn two hours of Community Involvement credit. Students and parents should check in with Mrs. Mantecon or Mrs. Dickerson upon arrival. In addition, SMS Spanish classes will join Father Rick in a special performance of “Manos Abiertas”.
